More VZ Business Techs Join Local 1101

In an NLRB supervised election, 13 Verizon Business techs from the NYC international group voted 10-3 to join CWA. The workers withstood a strong anti union campaign, including the usual letters, and 5 captive audience meetings within 3 weeks, including a last minute meeting with the EVP from Verizon.


CWA Organizer Tim Dubnau, Local 1101 Chief Steward and Organizer Keith Hogarty worked on this campaign, as did Local 1101 Secretary Jim Trainor.
